The Beards Of Hope Campaign runs over the winter season each year until August 31st. We encourage you to then organise a day in September to brave the shave. Fundraising for this campaign officially closes on 30th September each year.
You can sign up any time during this period to grow your beard. It's never too late! Or, sign up just to Brave the Shave at the end!
Grow Your Beard
Beard growing officially starts NOW! If you already have a beard then keep on growing it and get on board for the shave in September.
You can opt in to have donors choose whether they would like you to save or shave your beard. They simply include the word save or shave in the comments section during the online donation process. The most amount raised out of the saves or shaves is the winning decider for you.
There are no restrictions on how to grow your beard. We're a fairly casual crew around here. You can choose to groom or go completely scruffy :). Keep in mind though, we have our beard competitions at the end of the campaign.
During the registration process, you will create an online fundraising page. We appreciate any help here in raising funds for Bears Of Hope Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support and we also have some great incentives to receive free merchandise.
You can start fundraising immediately and grow from now up until the end of Winter! Each person needs to register separately and create your own online fundraising page. If you have a team, please get the team leader to register and create a team page first, then all your mates must register through our website, and "join an existing team" during the registration process.
If you are fundraising offline (e.g. on your shave day, through work or at an event), you must register your fundraiser and receive an Authority to Fundraise and fundraising number from Bears Of Hope. You can hold community fundraisers such as raffles, coin box collections, work fundraisers, BBQ's etc to help you with your fundraising throughout the campaign. We can supply resources such as coin boxes, posters, balloons, banners etc. Downloadable resources such as fundraising and event posters are also available through our Resources section. Please email email@example.com for further information.
Funds raised this way MUST be banked into the Bears Of Hope charity account first with your fundraising number as reference. If you have an online fundraising page, Bears Of Hope will then organise to make an offline donation of that amount to your online fundraising page.
You do not need to complete a fundraising application for your online fundraising page.
